Shopping Therapy
Shopping is a universal language for girls, from clothes to shoes or accessories. We all get that same feeling and urge once we get hooked on an item. Always remember these are just material things and whether you need or want it, ask yourself- is it worth it? Sometimes we ignore this question because we unconsciously shut down our logical thinking. Be careful, you might end up being broke or worst become a certified shopaholic.
Here are some helpful tips that I'd like to share to you when you go shopping.
1. Never bring all your money, do a budget plan of what you will buy or how much you will only spend.
2. Go for sale items first and brand new last, although the style may not be as popular anymore. You could still use them in the future when the style is ''IN'' again.
3. Always pick quality over quantity. But if you could find a good quality with less quantity, the better. Sometimes at a local thrift store you could be lucky to find preloved branded clothes at a very cheap price. That's why I love to go shopping at a nearest "Ukay-Ukay". But be sure to soak it on boiling water for a couple of minutes before washing the clothes thoroughly to remove any bacteria carrying diseases and then after you could let it sit with clothes perfume to mask any undesirable odor. Totally worth it! :)
4. Bring your girl friends to help you pick out what you're looking for. Their opinions or ideas may contribute to your decision making. But if you think that they''ll just be a distraction to you while you're shopping, that's also fine.
5. Now that you have the item in your hand. Take a couple of deep breaths and ask yourself 100 times if you are sure to buy it with no regrets.
Why can't we stop spending so much even though it's not necessary or useful? Maybe because our eyes always deceives us and we just want to experience that temporary feeling of fullfilment once we get what we want even though it does't last and we easily find it uninteresting.
That's all for now lovelies.. Let's all shop together! :)
